What seems certain, is that Russia's claims are designed to create a distraction away from its very real challenges on the frontline in Ukraine as well as its decision to target civilian infrastructure with merciless barrages of missiles.Įarlier today Russia warned the UK that it could face "unpredictable and dangerous" consequences for its "confrontational actions". Moscow's attempts to accuse the UK of more direct military action could be designed to put pressure on the new British government to reduce its level of support – something that would potentially have a knock-on effect against western military aide more broadly. London's pro-active approach also was instrumental in prompting other European allies to join the effort as well as giving encouragement to the United States. The UK has previously dismissed such allegations as absurd.Īt the same time, it makes no secret of being one of the strongest supporters of Ukraine.īritain's willingness to send ever-more lethal weapons to help the Ukrainian military as well as a decision to establish a UK-based training programme to turn Ukrainian recruits into soldiers means it is - in a very overt way - bolstering Ukraine's ability to push Russia’s invaders back. The Kremlin has made various allegations about British special forces being linked to attacks against Russian targets in Ukraine and a set of blasts along a gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea.Īndrei Kelin, the Russian ambassador to London, even told Sky News's Mark Austin that his country had evidence that proves "British specialists" were involved in drone attacks against Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Crimea over the weekend. Russia seems to have developed an unhealthy obsession with the UK over Ukraine. Kherson is strategically important and a prime objective for both sides because of its major river and seaport.īy Deborah Haynes, security and defence editor "Russia's infliction of large-scale humanitarian suffering on innocent children, women and the elderly is a violation of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide," it added.įor context: Most of the Kherson region was seized in the first days of Russia's invasion in February.īut Russian-installed official in the region, Kirill Stremousov, said today that Kremlin troops were likely to quit the western bank of the Dnipro river, where Moscow has been evacuating citizens in recent weeks.īoats were filmed two weeks ago carrying Kherson residents further into Russian-held territory after claims that "shelling of residential blocks by the Ukrainian armed forces is expected". In a statement, the Ukrainian foreign ministry said Moscow's forces were also forcing people to leave the Zaporizhzhia region, further to the east. In recent weeks, Russia has been ordering civilians in the southern Kherson region to evacuate from areas on the west bank of the Dnipro river, and this week told those in a 15km buffer zone on the east bank to leave as well. 3.The deportations of Ukrainian citizens from two regions occupied by pro-Russian forces "grossly violate international law", Ukraine has said. Or a company might need to run specific vulnerability scans on its images. For example, a company might have a privacy policy requiring repositories to only be accessible via the company's internal network. Companies that cannot use public registries often have self-hosted ones that they can customize to their requirements. If a company has special requirements, however, public registries might not be an option. Docker Hub is a well-known example of a public registry. Cloud-hosted Docker registries are also called public registries. We simply have to register with the service and then use the provided functionality. When a registry is provided via the cloud, we don't have to care about its hosting and maintenance. While many registries are provided as cloud services, registries may also be self-hosted. It allows us to do things like create repositories, push and pull images, and manage repository access. A Docker registry is a service that manages container image repositories.

A large loaf of French bread with meats, cheeses and accoutrements to beat the band! Everyone arrived around the same time where I welcomed them all the Festivus! We all got shirts to wear: I remembered the shows I watched seemed to have had celebrations involved where a Big Sandwich was ordered each time so I settled on that. Up to this point, I had seen very few reruns of Seinfeld and Wings but I commonly got the characters mixed up. Of course there were Christmas presents and a tree but I did not want the kids – who were pretty much adults – to feel any kind of pressure or competition, I really wanted everyone to have fun! I worked all day at home preparing for our Festivus Feast, evening finding an old pole I put in a Christmas tree stand to serve as decoration. I did not tell anyone my plan but asked if everyone could be at the house on the evening of the 23rd. During our first year of marriage, I thought it would be grand to put together a Festivus for our new blended family as we attempted to get to know each other. Picky Eater described all the highlights from both shows and how he thought Festivus was something he and his boys should have celebrated since they usually had their Christmas together around the 23rd of December. I had never watched either because as a single mom, I was busy going to school full time, working full time and taking care of Top Girl. My husband mentioned a few TV shows he watched during the 1990’s, one being Seinfeld and the other Wings. Our blended family celebrates Festivus and this is how it began: When I met my husband, talk naturally evolved into favorites – food, music, restaurants, and television. I thought the last book touched on some pretty dark subjects, but this one gets darker. I give kudos to Nora Sakavic for creating a cast like this. Everyone is so unique and fleshed out, with their own strong personality - something other books with many less characters have failed at. My favourite thing in books is having a group of main characters, so this series is a dream for me. I loved getting to know more about all of them, and I'm pretty sure I'm hopelessly devoted now. We get to learn more about all of the Foxes in this, finding out more about their pasts and why they're part of this team. "You are going to be the death of me," Nicky said. "Are we?" Neil forced himself to say, "Friends?" It's both heartbreaking and adorable how floored he is by affection. We get to see more of their funny side, constantly placing bets on anything and everything, and their caring side, which Neil is constantly shocked by. The relationships between all the characters really develop in this, and I love them for it. But from now until May you are still Neil Josten and I am still the man who said he would keep you alive." "Your parents are dead, you are not fine, and nothing is going to be okay," Andrew said. He develops a lot more as a character, and I also loved the way Neil tries to understand him more. This book has revelations about him, and we get to learn a lot more about his (horrible, heartbreaking) past. My love for Andrew has reached a fever pitch. The story went from 'entertaining' to "oh my gosh I CAN'T STOP READING." The characters went from 'interesting' to "HERE JUST TAKE MY WHOLE HEART." When I said in my review of The Foxhole Court that this series has potential, THIS is what I meant. See: Updating Pixelmon – Pixelmon Wikiġ1. That will give you some time to save money (if you haven’t done so already) ahead of the April 30 th tax payment deadline, so you can avoid paying interest on late payments. If you owe money, the earlier you know about it, the better. (You will need to report all income you’ve received, otherwise it could result in a penalty of 10% on the amount you didn’t report.) Once you’ve figured out which federal and provincial tax brackets you’re in based on all your earnings-regular income, bonuses, self-employed income, government benefits, interest income, etc.- you can better anticipate if you will get a tax refund or owe taxes in April. Now that you understand your tax brackets, now what? Get free MoneySense tips and more in your inbox! It pays to know. Here are the tax brackets for all the provinces and territories in Canada for 2021, in alphabetical order: Alberta tax brackets 2021 To calculate your estimated income tax, add the maximum total tax from the previous bracket to approximate your 2021 provincial taxes (before any applicable surtaxes, as explained below). Subtract the minimum dollar value of that bracket range from your total annual income, then multiply by the applicable tax rate. Just as we explained with the federal tax brackets above, start by finding chart for the province you in, and then find where your annual income is in the chart. How tax brackets work for the provinces and territories Even if the rate charged stays the same from year to year, the incomes are usually adjusted annually for inflation. It’s important to have a look at the income ranges and rates for the tax brackets every year, as they tend to change. Our taxes pay for these services, depending on the province you live in. For example, health care is run at the provincial level, such as the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), and B.C.’s Medical Services Plan (MSP), while the military and national security is covered at the federal level with the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP. Why are there federal and provincial tax rates? That’s because they are separate levels of government, covering different financial responsibilities and have different revenues to pay for them. Here’s how that looks for a $90,000 earner in the second bracket: Finally, add the maximum total tax from the previous bracket to approximate your 2021 federal taxes. Then subtract the minimum dollar value of that range from your annual income, and multiply by the applicable tax rate. Now to find yourself in the chart: Find which tier range your annual income fits. The income over and above that first bracket limit, however, will be taxed at rate of 20.5%. If you are in the second federal bracket, with an annual income of $90,000, you would pay the same 15% on their first $49,020 in earnings. ( Find out what childcare affordability measures exist now and how they can impact taxes.) To find out exactly how much you owe you would have to prepare your taxes, or have them prepared. The Canadian federal tax brackets are for “estimated” federal tax owing. That includes things like RRSP contributions, or tax credits like the basic personal amount that can reduce the taxes you owe. That means you will pay 15% in federal tax, or about $6,000, not including deductions that can lower your taxable income. So if you made $40,000 in 2021 from all sources of taxable income (such as paid work, benefits, bank interest, etc.) you would sit in the lowest federal bracket for 2021. First things first: Canada’s federal income tax brackets (as well as the provincial brackets) are set up in tiers with rates that apply only to the earnings that fall within each tier. Thyme UsesĮither fresh or dried, thyme leaves are used for flavoring soups, gravies, stews, sauces, sausages, dressings and many other dishes. In the spring, for best results dig the plants, divide and plant in a new location. In colder climates, mulch your thyme plants with leaves or other garden litter to prevent undue thawing and freezing. Do keep in mind if the plants are wet or damp the tiny seeds may stick to the leaves and flower heads. Collect the seeds and spread them in a warm, airy room to finish drying. Around noon and again in late afternoon, gently shake the plants to encourage the ripe seeds to fall onto the sheets or into the bags. While cutting the ripening tops is one way to obtain seeds, use of cloths, sheets, or paper bags may prove more productive. Thyme matures unevenly from plant to plant. If harvesting for drying, it’s best to harvest thyme just as they come into flower. Harvest plants from alternating rows around three weeks later and the final crop of thyme should be harvested in October. Harvest alternating plants in late August or early September. However, Lemon Thyme smells sweeter when grown from cuttings or root divisions. The finest plants are produced when grown from seed. Thyme can be propagated by dividing the roots (should be done in April) and from seed. Young, growing thyme plants should be set out in the garden or field in June or July, preferably in damp ground or just prior to a rain shower. Ten inches is preferred but one plant per square foot is optimal. Thyme plants should be planted no closer than 8 inches apart. If you are considering growing thyme and adding it to your garden plan, you might want to check out our Thyme Companion Planting to ensure the best possible yields from all of your herbs, flowers and vegetables. Some farmers use as much as 4 parts sand to one part seed. If planting in volume, mix sand with the seed to prevent over-planting. In the seedbed, plant thyme seeds in early spring with the drills 4 to 6 inches apart with 5 or 6 seeds per inch. This will also enable the more valuable garden space to be used for an earlier-maturing crop. Better to plant seed in a nursery bed where more attention can be paid to the tiny plants. Growing Thyme From Seedīecause the seeds are so tiny, thyme seeds should be sown very shallowly or pressed into the soil with a fine layer sprinkled on top. Cuttings, layers and divisions all work well but the easiest way to grow thyme is from seed. Thyme seeds retain their germinating power for three years. There are approximately 170,000 thyme seeds per ounce and 24 ounces will fill a quart container. Inside the same hole, sow 3 to 5 seeds spaced 1 to 2 cm apart when the seeds have germinated and the seedlings have reached a height of 5 cm, keep all the plants if space is available or keep only the best plants.(thyme seeds, sowing, cultivation, propagation, harvesting thyme leaves, harvesting thyme seed and wintering.) Thyme Seeds direct seeding after any risk of frost, when the soil is warmed up.sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last date in your area OR.optimal temperature for germination: 15 to 22✬.depth of sowing: 2.5 mm or on the surface (press the seeds lightly into the soil, but do not cover them). So it’s very viable to take both of our QBs in that Round 6-10 range. As the QB position evolves with more true dual-threats, we are seeing higher ceiling players with more ability to separate from their peers than in the past. Justin won last year’s Underdog Best Ball Mania tournament for $200K.Īnalysis: The data shows that ideally we take a high-upside QB in Rounds 6 through 10 and only end up with two total QBs. NOTE: The “Herzig’s Take” section refers to Justin Herzig’s thoughts as of May 9, 2021. * Starting lineup: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX Then, we dissected all of the rosters in the Underdog Best Ball Mania tournament. First, w e looked at results from 2017-2019, simulating roughly 26,000 teams based on average draft position (ADP) in search of winning roster constructions. In order to solve the question of positional allocation, we took a data-driven approach. As you’ll see below, wide receivers will be our most-rostered position. The weekly range of outcomes at wide receiver is wider than at running back, tight end, and quarterback. Second, we need to account for positional volatility. But if the first QB we draft is Carson Wentz, then taking a three is correct. In that scenario, selecting just two QBs (with different bye weeks of course) is correct. If our QB1 is Patrick Mahomes, he’s very likely to be the quarterback who counts in our lineup an overwhelming majority of weeks. In other words, how many players at each position should we draft? It’s a simple question with a complicated answer for a couple reasons.įirst, our decisions should be dynamic to our positional strength - which is a function of draft capital. We also need to consider the implications of the no-transaction format.Ī big part of that is roster construction. In Best Ball, simply picking the right players is not a realistic strategy. |
